I just finished reading the book “The romance of the last Crusade” by major Vivian Gilbert. What actually happened at the “capture of Jerusalem” was pretty funny.

Really? Was the story different than what I wrote? I’ll go check it out. Thanks!

I finished reading your articles. I don’t see any reference to what happened before Gen. Allenby officially marched into Jerusalem. If your going to by the book and read it, I wont give it away.

Saw your review of book. I found a reasonable priced vintage copy, and it now resides next to a WW1 uniform I found at a yard sale w/ 2 letters, an olde wooden match and a book in the pocket. (😱for a dollar!)
    So glad you enjoyed it.
Looking fwd to reading your Thanksgiving, Advent and CHRIST~mas postings.

It was a splendid read and I really enjoyed the book. My review is on Goodreads–or, like my letter writer, you could have read about the book in my monthly newsletter!
