What’s the newsletter about?
The newsletter comes out on the 15th of the month. I’ve designed it to be read in about a minute (if you don’t click on the links).
It covers what’s happening in my life that month, themes (such as Lent or Advent), and ideas I’m contemplating.
Clicking on Newsletter signup provides monthly features to your email including:
- The two best books I’ve read that month with links to Goodreads for fuller explanation.
- Four blog posts I wrote that month (with links).
- Interesting information I’ve discovered (particularly about the Chambers duo or related to Lettie Cowman).
- Occasionally, a surprising map.
- Sometimes a giveaway.
- Photos.
- Link to my Substack account: The Eclectic Researcher
Give it a try. You can always unsubscribe if it doesn’t work for you–no questions asked nor hard feelings.
As a thank you for signing up, I’ll send you a free copy of my 57-page E-book, Writing about Oswald and Biddy Chambers.
If you prefer fiction, you’ll also get a free link to The Churchman, a Navy wife short story.
If you’re going to click on Newsletter signup, you’ll want to know who is Michelle Ule?
I’m a NY Times best-selling historical novella author (A Log Cabin Christmas Collection and five others).
The biographer of Mrs. Oswald Chambers: the Woman Behind the World’s Bestselling Devotional. (My Utmost for His Highest).
The biographer of Lettie Cowman, founder of the Oriental Missionary Society. Overflowing Faith: Lettie Cowman and Streams in the Desert.
I’m a novelist, too!
I’ve also written a Navy SEAL novel (Bridging Two Hearts), based, in part, on my life as a Navy wife.
Historical Fiction: A Poppy in Remembrance, a WWI coming-of-age novel featuring Biddy and Oswald Chambers as marquee characters.
(The novel about a young female journalist begins the day WWI begins. It follows Claire Meacham over the course of the war and ends in Paris on Armistice Day 1918. Each chapter is based on themes found in My Utmost for His Highest.)
Oh, and I’m also a speaker–usually on themes related to Oswald Chambers, Biddy Chambers, or Lettie Cowman.
Now retired after 20 years working for a literary agent, I’ve also taught at writers’ conferences.
May the Lord who loves you more than any of us will ever know, bless you this day.
Thanks for stopping by.
